Everyday Writing

The creative part of me thrives on the variety of work I get to do as a freelance copywriter. I write for hours every day of the week, and I’ve had the pleasure of writing about dozens of topics in as many different formats.

Some of the most common “everyday” writing pieces that I’m asked to create include:

Articles: Do you know how important article marketing is but are short on time or skills to write your own? No problem. Give me a topic, a list of keywords and notes if you have them. I’ll do lots of research and present you with a first draft. Then I’ll take your revisions, and when you’re happy with the piece, it’s yours to use however you wish. If you need help with article submissions, I have a colleague I work closely with who can take care of it.

Email campaigns:  There’s no doubt about it—email marketing is an effective way to make money for your business. But only if you know how to write your way around spam filters and in a compelling enough way to get your email opened and preferably read by its recipient.

I’ve written quite a few email campaigns, and I have lots of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) tricks up my sleeve that I love using for this type of application. If you don’t know what NLP is, then you need to outsource your email marketing to me!

Autoresponders:  I don’t know anything about shopping carts, except how to put things in my cart at Amazon. But I know how to write your product descriptions and other cart copy. The type of copy you need depends on your cart and the amount of products you have, but you should be taking every opportunity you can to upsell your other products and services. I can help.

Blog posts:  Blogging = Important. Of course, everyone knows that by now. But it doesn’t make it any easier to find the time to do it, now does it? Then there are those people whose writing skills aren’t necessarily going to boost their image. Luckily for people like that, freelance blog writers exist.

Ghost blogging works best with lots of collaboration (at least at first) so I can get to know your company inside and out. It’s important to me that the clients I ghost blog for are seeing their voice through my words. Eventually, you’ll want me to log in to your blogging software and upload new posts for you based on our mutually agreed-upon posting schedule. Wait until you see this in action. It’s very slick and a huge time-saver for busy people like you!

Website content:  Are you struggling with writing your website content? Everybody does. But you shouldn’t go around leaving websites on the back burner until you get around to writing the content for them or learning how to effectively write for the web. There are freelance web copywriters *ahem* who can do that for you.

Newsletter content:  Sending out a newsletter is great—if you actually have time to generate new content on a regular basis! I can work around the topics you want added, and as I get to know your business, I’ll brainstorm article topics for you and then write ’em up. All you have to do is give final approval.

Bios:  Most of us have trouble when it comes to writing about ourselves. But as an entrepreneur, you need a good bio that can be modified and used in your social networking profiles as well as on your website. With this particular service, I’ll send you a questionnaire to fill out. When you send it back, I’ll take the information you’ve provided and turn it into a snazzy bio you can be proud of.
