Random Copywriting Projects

My favorite thing about being a freelance copywriter is the variety in my work. I also adore a good challenge. I like being asked to write a corporate profile for someone and then being told that I have 75 words in which to do it.

Here are some random pieces of copywriting I’ve done over the past couple of years.

portfolio_pr_icon_redI help Rex Key & Security with a regular article marketing campaign to keep a healthy Google ranking. This is a sample of an article I’ve written for this locksmith company. I came up with the topic, wrote the article, sent it to the client for approval and then had it submitted to online directories.

portfolio_pr_icon_redI love writing articles for Uncle Albert’s Super Smart Ant Bait. It’s a pretty fun company, considering they sell stuff to kill ants. Here’s one of my favorites that I’ve written for them.

portfolio_pr_icon_redWhen Uncle Albert’s asked me to come up with the content for their tri-panel brochure they’d be sending retailers and distributors, this is what I came up with.

portfolio_pr_icon_redThis was a challenging little project that I loved and got some great feedback from. A seafood-chowder-cookin’ entrepreneur needed business descriptions written to give to the local Chamber of Commerce for some radio and print advertising. The catch was, I had 35 words to work with for the radio description and 75 for the print version.

portfolio_pr_icon_redI’m a regular writer for the female financial advisor community, LadyAdvisor.com. Every few weeks, I have the pleasure of connecting with a very successful woman, sending her a series of questions and turning her answers into an inspirational article. Here’s one of my favorites.

portfolio_pr_icon_redI was also asked to write a “sticky” article for the forum at LadyAdvisor.com to help members learn about the importance of online networking.

portfolio_pr_icon_redVictoria Santiago came to me needing a special report ghostwritten for her business. She handed over her notes and I wrote a first draft. She suggested some changes, I applied those revisions and this is what she ended up with.

portfolio_pr_icon_redWhen I started my own virtual assistance business, Mann Made Time, all it took was one sales letter to get enough work to support my family. I sent it to 50 local real estate agents and followed up with a second letter and a phone call a couple of weeks later. Here are the two letters.
